I've been planning for a wild-crazy summer getaway with my family. I'd like to know if you have any plans or itinerary for this summer? I'd like to hear from you :-) Kindly click the comments above to share your exciting summer getaway!
Hey readers and weebly! I miss you all! For the past two weeks my cycle was just work-home-work-home. During weekends which is my rest day, I was just staying at home doing the usual house chores and having a Skype with my family in Mindanao. I've been having a lot of time for myself lately which is really good because I get to relax my body and mind. But for the next two weeks I will be very busy again with my photography and attending events. For now, I would just like to share to you all my photoshoot with Ms. Jody Jane Gabud. This is actually a back log as this photoshoot happened two years ago. I know, way back log. It was actually released on my previous blog site two years ago and I just like to repost it here. Just a few background, Jody is a student from University of San Carlos,Cebu taking B.S Tourism. A camera shy girl but was able to convince her to model for me kasi ang kulit ko Lol. Seriously, a lot of Cebu photographers have been wooing her to model for them but she politely declined because she was unsure if she can really pose infront of camera. Lucky for me, I'm able to convince her with my convincing power! During the shoot, I was talking to her a lot things and was asking her favorite food, movies and I even tied to crack a joke just to get her relax and be comfortable with the camera. For me, it's very important that your model doesn't feel an inch of intimidation from the camera and the photographer so he/she can build a connection that will elicit the Je ne sais quoi out of the model. To my surprise, she was able to handle it like a pro. She was very natural which I totally like and was also very interactive. As a result, I was able to get a good angles of her which showcase her natural beauty appropriate for her age. Without further ado let me share the photos.

Note: This Disneyland post will be also available in International>US>Los Angeles (City of Angels)
I remember when I was in high school I used to have this map from Tokyo Disneyland posted on my wall in my room which my sister gave to me after she visited Tokyo,Japan. Almost everyday, after school, I would go straight to my room and look on the map asking myself when can I visit that place? My mom knows how obsessed I am with Disneyland. For me, it's a place where you can be kid over and over again. A place full of positivity and of course there's Mickey mouse! My all time favorite Disney character. When I knew in 2007 that Walt Disney will franchise it's second Disneyland in Asia in Hongkong. I couldn't described my excitement. I don't care if it's in Hongkong and not in Tokyo so long as it's Disneyland then I'm all fine. I told myself that after college I will definitely work to save for my dream. So when my dream came true in 2010 with my first visit in Hongkong Disneyland I was then ecstatic to sing Aladdin's classic song "a whole new world" while going inside the park lol. I remembered how my wife laughed at me when I literally kissed the floor in the main entrance of Disneyland. You can really tell how fanatic I am. After my first visit, I made a research about Disneyland and where it originated. Yes, my first visit didn't stop me to know more about the place since there was a lot of missing attractions in HK franchise and I knew that based on bloggers comments So I learned that the first Disneyland was built in Anaheim, California and opened in 1955. There were few attractions that HK Disneyland didn't have such as critter country,Mickey's toontown, frontierland,New Orleans square and a lot more! So my crave to visit another Disneyland didn't stop. Obviously, it would be a lot expensive for me if I dream of visiting the main one in the US. But I never stop dreaming until one day, it happened! I can vividly remember when I first saw the statue of Mr. Walt Disney holding Mickey mouse in Anaheim. I couldn't help myself not to cry ( I know I'm such a crying boy lol). Totally a dream come true to step in the legendary main Disneyland of all Disneylands. I have to thank numerous times our main organizer Hsi Lai temple for bringing all the casts and crew of Siddhartha the musical to the most happiest place on earth. The surreal experience was absolutely priceless. Be warned that this is the most longest post I've ever blogged. So if you reach the end of this then congratulations! You just become a certified Disney fanatic. Have you visited any Disneyland theme parks? How was your experience? I'd like to hear from you! Kindly click the comment above to share you Disney stories. What a surprising day! I woke up early in the morning to get the newspaper delivered right at my door. At first, I didn't notice that a friend of mine Philipp was on the front page until I opened the entertainment section and saw a huuuge photo of him! Then I saw my name on the paper as the one who took the photo. I was ecstatic! Just proud :-) Ok so enough from me. If you have read my previous post I just came last week from singing idol, held at level eight bar, to support our friend Philipp Mancol. Luckily he won! And we felt we won too lol! Seriously, we were the loudest group cheering after the announcement of winners. And let me reiterate the prize he won, tumataginting na P100,000! He sang "neither one of us" as his winning piece and it was a beautiful rendition. I guess it speaks why he won. Anyway I'd like to share to you all some of the photo I took of him last February during the Chinese new year. Congrats again Philipp!
By the way guyz, I will be having an epic summer this coming May. Do you have any crazy plan for summer? Let me hear it by clicking on the comments above. Hi everyone! I'd like to share to you all my latest photoshoot with Eiji Matsuzaki. His name sounds Japanesy, I know but he's not. He's a pure Filipino ( Alright let's stop from here) I was corrected that he is a half Japanese and half pinoy sorry for that, a nursing by profession and currently working in a known resort in Cebu. This guys is no rookie in front of camera as he participated in some known reality tv shows on a national tv when he was still a nursing student. But he decided to continue his studies and didn't pursue in showbiz. During our shoot I was asking him some few questions and to my surprise this dude is a bicentennial man. Right after college, he worked in a military hospital for nine hours during daytime and by night he works as a call center agent for 9 freaking hours too! I got speechless with his answer. My follow up question which blurted out was: How many hours do you sleep and how how how? So many how's, I know, it just amazed me to know that I will be talking to a person who gets to sleep an hour or two out of the last 24 hours! I mean c'mon is that even for real?!? I also do a lot of things as a photographer and blogger, but if I only get 6 hours to sleep I become monster! lol just kidding. But really, I need atleast 8 hours of sleep to keep me sane and balance. Anyway, eventually he did resigned to those two jobs (thanked god) and decided to work as a guest services supervisor in city hotel simply known as waterfront, Cebu. But his profession led him back to work in a hospital then left it again for a greener pastures working in known resort in the same city. So much to say, feel free to browse his photos below. He's really good by the way as a model, he's easy to work with. I just hope he considers working in a fashion industry or probably as a fashion blogger. Note: Photos of my models can be also check on my Nabzfotografic section on this blog and selecting Models.
Tan tanaaaan It's March guys! What's your summer plans? i'd like to hear from you! Kindly click the comments above to share your stories, plans and whatnot. Hey guys! I'm back again sharing the latest event I've attended last night. So here's my ganap :-) Some of my folks from Siddhartha the musical participated in last night's show called " a night of broadway" It was really a good show! The problem was I I arrived super freakin late! When I came in they were singing one day more from my favorite musical play "les miserables". I was totally speechless. I knew the show would start at around 7pm but due to prior commitments before the show I couldn't find way to escape until 9pm. So pity on me! Super tira tira nalang lol. Good thing was I'm still able to take a picture with some of the gorgeous ladies and gents from the show. Good job guys!
Any plan for the summer? I'd like to hear from you. You may share it by clicking the comments above. Two weeks ago, I went home to my family in Mindanao to spend vacation and celebrate heart's day with them. I didn't want to be alone in Cebu making drama over the weekend while everyone else is out having date with their loved ones. My wife's family lives in a small but very peaceful city Gingoog, Misamis Oriental. To get there, I had to take plane Cebu to Butuan then ride a bus for an hour and thirty minutes going to Cagayan. Gingoog city is between Cagayan De Oro and Butuan. There's not so much to see in Gingoog to be honest except Tiklas falls but the place itself is very clean and super less traffic. Plus the cold fresh air coming from the mountains is just so refreshing. Most people from Gingoog would go to the pantalan or wharf at night since they have a breathtaking view of a mountain and beach ( to see what their wharf looks like you can go to nabzfotografic section of this blog and go to Places). Plus they have food stalls there. Laidback life? Yes, and I wouldn't want more establishments there to preserve the simplicity of life in the city. If you're living in a hustle and bustle place I'm sure you would understand why I said that :-) My wife told me while I'm in Cebu that we will be staying overnight in Resort De Alberto. It's a typical hotel with a pool located in Medina, Misamis Oriental. I got hyped when I knew about the plan because it would be a perfect place for me to show my music video which is my gift to my wife. We went there around 6pm since we have to wait for my mother-in-law who came from a seminar in Baguio. When we got there, the weather was cold and it was raining a bit. But the cold never bothered us anyway. Frozen lang lol. So after we settled our things in our room we went to the pool and enjoyed swimming. The water? Man it was so cooooold but we just tried to ignore it since we wanted to enjoy. I had to wait until 12 midnight before ma solo ko si misis lol. So that it would be romantic to show her the music video while everyone else is sleeping. And my plan worked! Na solo ko na nga lol. While she was watching the video I can see her shining bright teary eyes. I told myself, moments like this is really priceless. I'm a person who loves giving surprises and romantic gifts to my wife. After my mom died three years ago I realized that life isn't just about what you have or possessed it's about memories that you make. It was absolutely a romantic night for us. I hope your Valentine too is memorable. Feel free to browse the photo below. Note that there are a lot of photos :-)
Any plan for summer? I'd like to hear it from you guys. Click the comment above. Hey guys! I just came from a one week vacation and spent most of my time with my family. And by saying spending time, I lessened my habit in checking the net so I can have more quality time with them. So there, I miss you so much weebly and my readers! I'm back with a full force with fresh ideas.
Before I left Cebu I had some couple of photoshoots. One of it was for my friend Jewel. Her baby girl will be having a baptismal and she asked me to take a picture of her baby. How can I say no, babies are so adorable and their innocence is so pure. Babies doesn't need to be choreograph for a photo. You can capture every moments by their spontaneity of actions. They are definitely photographers favorite subject, at least in my case :-) So we had the photoshoot at I.T park located in Lahug, Cebu. It was my choice to have the photoshoot there since it's convenient and maraming damo lol. I asked Jewel to bring little props that we can use for the shoot. It was bright sunny afternoon so I have enough natural light that I can use. Thanks for the good weather! After we finished the shoot we went straight to Da Vinci resto to have our snack :-) I had so much fun doing the shoot since Jewel brought her super friendly family and I enjoyed their company. Feel free to browse the photos below. Any plans for the coming summer? Let me hear it by clicking on the comments above. All of me from nabzfotografic on Vimeo. Hey guyz! Finally I'm back bringing you the project I was talking about last week. I made a collaboration with a very talented friend of mine Drae Cerna who's my videographer for my music video, All of Me, covered by yours truly.
Just a month ago, I thought of making a music video for valentine as my gift to my lovely wife. When Drae knew about my plan he luckily offered his help in making the video. I've known Drae since convergys days and he has been doing a lot of sidelines particularly in mixing music, making videos and a lot more. I have so much trust on him since we almost have the same brain wavelength. It's so easy to deal with a person who's very creative and has so much talent as yours. So I told him what kind of music video I want and he's able to get it. Drae recorded my voice for the song and he did the post prod for the music. The first recording didn't went well due to technical reason so we had to reschedule it. Apparently, due to his schedule we had to do everything in one day, making the music video plus the recording! I'm trying to play cool on it but I was kind of unsure on the idea since it will be done all in one day! I just had to leave my trust. Para bang, ikaw na bahala sa buhay ko lol. It was Sunday when we went to boys camp lahug for the video. I brought with me my dslr and a tripod. We were so fortunate that day because the weather was good. When we got there, we knew what shots needed and we were able to finish it in three hours that includes the photos and videos. Then we went to my apartment to finish the recording. Alas, we magically finished the project all in one day whew. I did the post prod for the video. to finish it up. This music video is very special to me because I included my son in the film since he is the fruit of our love. Pasensya na for being cheesy. I hope my wife will like this. Vj is already watching the video, as I post this blog :-) I hope you guys will also appreciate the video too. Any plan for tonight's valentine? I'd love to hear it! You can share it to me through the comment section of this blog :-) Obviously it's not a secret wedding anymore as I post this lol. I'm so lucky to be chosen photographer for the very important event of my dear friends Rianne and James, the now Mr. and Mrs. Villar. Months before the wedding, I was informed by Rianne, whom I've known since 2008, that she will be getting married with her long time beau James and she plans to get me as their official photographer. I got so excited that I was about to announce it on my newsfeed when she told me that it will be a secret wedding for the meantime and I have to sussh about it. So I have no choice but to keep my lips sealed about the news.
When I asked Rianne why it's a secret wedding? She answered: Since everyone ( friends and family) are pressuring us to get married...but we didn't have enough money yet for a bonggang kasal..so we decided to run to a judge to secretly get married so as not to spend too much for the little celebration.. Very practical answer. In my case, kinasal rin ako civil wedding though it was not a secret one kasi everyone else knows about it. The only thing there was not all our friends and relatives were invited yet because we're planning of a second wedding where everyone dear to our lives will be invited. Just for the meantime, civil wedding was our best option and it will be the best option too for those couple who are still saving for the big wedding:-) As I'm typing this, I just got a very exciting news from Rianne, they plan to have their big wedding next year January 13,2015 just in time for their first year wedding anniversary. Yes, their secret wedding happened last January 13 this year but I decided to post this blog a month after for the coming valentine :-) Let's mark the calendar now na! lol! The details will yet to be announce. Rianne would like to thank ff: Jennifer Poligrates-Francisco for their wedding ring at a very reasonable price, Scarlet Rose wedding cake given by Jeph from Zoet Pastries, and yours truly for the photos and video. Without further ado, please feel free to browse the photos below and be in love at the same time :-) By the way guyz, tell me your plan for the coming valentine? I'd love to hear from you :-) You can leave your stories by clicking the comment above. Ni hao guys! I've been very busy lately doing a certain project which you will know in the coming days. it's a surprise project which I'm doing in collaboration with a brilliant acoustic singer from Cebu. I'm pretty much excited about the project and I just can't wait to share it to you all :-) For the meantime, let me just share the recent Chinese new year celebration I've attended last Thursday at Chu Un temple somewhere along V. Rama, Cebu. This temple is very dear to me ever since I became part of
Siddhartha family, a musical group run by the said temple. I've never been to a Chinese new year celebration so I'm totally hyped when I made it on that day. When I got there I was overwhelmed by the decorations. There was lanterns everywhere! And the Chinese music in the background just really adds to the concept which I absolutely loved. I thought I was in a different place in a different era. The decorations and the program was just a hit for me. Sayang lang I wasn't able to catch the fireworks that night because I had to leave early due to work. So much of words from me lol. Feel free to browse the photos and enjoy! |
