I can vividly remember ten years ago, when I was still in high school, I dreamt of performing in a huge stage but never thought that It will happen. Pasadena civic auditorium was just too surreal for me. Dream within dream perhaps or dejavu? Either way it's still a dream come true.
Before the show a chancellor from the Philippine embassy met us backstage to say goodluck to us. She was teary eyed when she told us that we have full pack of audience. At first, we couldn't believe but when the curtain opened we just saw an unbelievable number of people. The tears starting fall from my eyes. I was really stopping my personal emotion so I can get into my character. Can someone slap me? Because I couldn't help myself but to be emotional of what I was seeing at that time. Everything was so colorful! The lights was fantastic and everyone was just really hyped. I can really see how everyone was into their character. I never thought we could come up this kind of spectacular show. I wouldn't deny that we had huge challenges when we were in the Philippines from on and off rehearsals due to calamities, visa applications and individual challenges amongst us. It was a roller coaster ride for everyone. But despite all the challenges we were still able to put up a very good show. Delivering the message we wanted to share to our audience. Kudos again to everyone! I'm so proud to be a Filipino!
Note: Photos are not mine. I just grabbed it from different groups via facebook. Some of the photos were from Hsi Lai Temple group etc.
