I remember when I was a kid whenever our relatives from the US would contact us to ask where Pearl Farm is we couldn't really give exact information as to where it is simply because we haven't been there yet. It's such a shame that we used to live in a city near the famous tourist spot in Davao but have not check the place. Luckily, when my son had his baptismal in Davao we had a chance to visit this beautiful known tourist spot in the city. Apparently, we couldn't stay for an overnight at the resort since we have an early flight back to Cebu the following day. So we decided to have a day tour only. Our first task was to buy a day tour pass from their sales office located in Abreeza, Ayala Mall Davao adjacent mall on SM Lanang. The first sales person we talked to wasn't that welcoming to answer our queries. My wife and I felt like we were inconveniencing her by asking just a general question on what are included in the day tour package. In the past, I would really complain right there and then if I feel like the service I'm getting isn't that satisfying but I don't want to spoil our excitement at that time so I let it pass and walked out of the office to withdraw from an atm for cash since we don't want to use our credit card for personal reason. Yes they accepts credit cards too. After we got our cash we went back to the sales office and we were surprised to see another person on the front desk. She was smiling and very accommodating contrast to the first person we talked with. When we asked her where was the representative before her she said her shift was done. My wife and I looked into each other (well it make sense why the previous representative wasn't that welcoming maybe she was just excited to go out of the office). I mentioned anyway to the representative who assisted us about the attitude that we experienced from the previous rep. She said she's going to take note of it and let the manager know, fair enough. We didn't want to push further the issue since we don't want to dwell on it. So we paid for 2,200 for each person. According to their site weekdays rate for day tour is P1,500/person and P2,200/person during holidays and weekends. The package day tour includes:
The boat transfer from Jetty wharf to pearl farm was as early as 8am. We just live in the city so by taxi it took us 15 minutes to reach the place. If you're coming from the airport then you're more closer to the wharf. We paid around P80 for the taxi fare. Upon arriving in the wharf we just stayed a bit in their lounge together with other tourists. It was Saturday so there were a lot of tourist who availed the day tour. At exactly 8am the boat arrived in the wharf. We were off to pearl farm! My wife and I couldn't hide our excitement to see Davao's pride tourist spot. With us is my sister, nephew and my aunt. The estimated travel time would be an hour. I was still a bit groggy at that time since my travel was just non-stop. All the way from Taiwan going back to Cebu then flight the next day to Davao for the baptismal of our baby whew.
- Boat transportation from Jetty wharf going to the resort
- Complimentary towel
- Welcome Drinks upon arrival
- Use of resorts facilities such as tennis court, basketball court, game room, mini gym,
volleyball, swimming pool & beach area. - Lunch buffet (Probably my most favorite part of the day tour)

Final Verdict: I would probably give the resort a five star for its beauty. The price though for the day tour is just ok but according to my cousin who have been there the price was just too much for a day tour. The resort is well maintained but you can also see that they haven't upgraded anything. They have no program or whatsoever that would entertain those who availed the day tour. Their pool are just so-so. For me I had great experience since I'm with my family and I still enjoyed the view of the resort most specially their lunch buffet super sulit!
